How to Reset your Password
Keep in mind:
- Passwords are an essential aspect of computer and account security.
- A poorly chosen password may result in unauthorized access and/or exploitation of JONCKERS resources.
- All users, including contractors and vendors with access to JONCKERS systems, are responsible for taking the appropriate steps, as outlined below, to select and secure their passwords following good practical practices. (These good practices are also strongly recommended for general usage in daily life when choosing passwords for personal email, social media accounts or internet banking, etc).
A. How to reset your password when your password is expiring soon
1) On the My Account (microsoft.com) page, click on Password or CHANGE PASSWORD:

2) Fill in your old password and new password

- Hint on creating a good password: 4 random words with at least a special char somewhere and a number.
JONCKERS Enforced Domain User Password Policy
- Minimum password length: 10
- Enforce password history: last 24 passwords must be unique.
- Password must meet complexity requirements: YES
- Enforce minimum password age: 1 day (Users can only reset their passwords 1 time per day)
- Enforce maximum password age: 90 days

B. How to reset your password when you forget
1) On the Microsoft 365 sign-in page, select "Can’t access your account?".

2) Choose Work or school account

3) Filling in your work or school account username and the characters to verify that you're not a robot, and then select Next.

4) Choose I forgot my password, and then select Next.

5) Verify your account with 2 contact methods you registered in MFA before.
Example: I choose verify with email and text mobile phone for verification step 1
- Choose Email my alternate email:

- Choose Text my mobile phone

6) Enter a new password, confirm it, and then select Finish.

7) When you receive confirmation that your password has been reset, select the link on the confirmation page, and then sign in to Microsoft 365 with your new password.
