How to unlock your Acclaro (J) account
In case you got message "Your account is currently locked" when you try to access file server, or remote desktop...
This happens when a wrong password is submitted repeatedly over a short period of time (10 times in 30 minutes).
And it is often due to dormant (idle) session across different systems.
e.g.
1) you login to a computer or terminal and you mount the network drive by entering your username or password.
2) you change your password
3) you use your account on a new system and receive account lockout notice.
This is due to the connection done at the first step being idle (not properly logged off) and using the old password.
This connection will make your user account locked out over time.
Hence to resolve this:
- Survey all systems computer, laptop, terminal, which you may have used.
- Connect to each of them using your current account/password.
- Unmount the network drives (X, R, U, W, …) everywhere (if they are mounted automatically/permanently).
- Log off each session properly using the start menu + logoff (not the cross ‘x’)
- Login again and mount the network drive where you need to work (FR-TERMINAL, your computer)
